Research Stay at the Ohio State University [18.09.26]
Jana Dombrowski, a research associate at the Department of Media Psychology, spends this summer conducting research at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. For several weeks, Jana Dombrowski continued her research at one of the major universities in the United States. At The Ohio State University, she had the opportunity to gain international research perspectives and exchange ideas with renowned scholars on site.
With more than 60,000 students, The Ohio State University is one of the largest universities in the United States. In addition to its impressive campus, home to the Oval and Mirror Lake, and outstanding university athletics, the School of Communication, based at the university, is also internationally renowned. With more than 30 faculty members, the School offers a broad range of research expertise and is particularly distinguished by its strong focus on quantitative and empirical approaches to communication research.
During her stay, Jana Dombrowski visited the Mobile Social Cognition Lab, led by Joe Bayer. Together, they are conducting research on the role of time perception in people’s everyday media use. Beyond advancing existing research projects, the research stay also provided numerous opportunities for international exchange within an inspiring academic environment.
With plenty of new ideas and valuable contacts, Jana Dombrowski is back in Hohenheim in time for the start of the winter semester! We would like to thank all our colleagues at OSU for giving Jana such a warm welcome.
