It is important to apply a lifespan perspective to questions of learning and knowledge acquisition - especially in terms of political knowledge, according to Sabine Trepte’s and Josephine Schmitt’s new article „The Effects of Age on the Interplay Between News Exposure, Political Discussion, and Political Knowledge“. The authors demonstrate that younger people with lesser experiences in politics need political discussion as a means to learn the news.
