ICA Top-Paper Awards for Philipp Masur and Michael Scharkow  [30.05.14]

Two team members from the department of Media Psychology have received top paper awards at the annual conference of the International Communication Association in Seattle.

Philipp Masur received a Top Student Paper Award from the Communication and Technology (CAT) Division for his paper "The Interplay of Intrinsic Need Satisfaction and Facebook Specific Motives in Explaining Facebook Addiction". Michael Scharkow (together with Ruth Festl and Thorsten Quandt) won a top paper award in the Game Studies Interest Group for the paper "Longitudinal Patterns of Problematic Computer Game Use Among Adolescents and Adults: A 2-Year Panel Study". We congratulate Philipp and Michael!
