At the beginning of the year, WhatsApp announced new terms of use, which should simplify the transfer of data to third-party organizations, such as the parent company Facebook. These changes caused fierce criticism from users and led WhatsApp to postpone the update by three months.
The second deadline for the update expired in the middle of May. Also legal action was initiated,to prohibit the sharing of data. Apart from a small number of people who have substituted the messenger service with alternatives, the majority of users continues to use WhatsApp.
