Associated Doctoral Student

 

Alexandra Lux is an associated doctoral student in Sabine Trepte’s Team at the Department of Media Psychology at the University of Hohenheim. She studied communication science with minors in psychology and sociology at the University of Vienna. During her graduate studies, Alexandra Lux was working as a student assistant in the research group “empirical communication research” (empcom). In addition to that she spent the first semester of her graduate studies at the University of Ottawa (Canada).

During during her undergraduate studies Alexandra Lux visited the Department of Communication at Cornell University (NY, USA) for the summers of 2010 and 2011.

Since November 2017 Alexandra Lux has been working as a research assistant at the Department of Security in Information Technology at the Technical University Darmstadt. In affiliation to the Department of Media Security and IT Forensics at the Fraunhofer SIT she is participating in the BMBF funded project PANDA (Parallelstrukturen, Aktivitätsformen und Nutzerverhalten im Darknet). In particular Alexandra Lux is interested in communication behavior concerning privacy in the settings of the darknet, clearnet and offline context.
