Standing on the shoulders of these giants who have shepherded the journal and the field, the new editors are dedicated to reaching new heights and pushing new boundaries in the pursuit of knowledge at the intersection of media and psychology.
Media Psychology (MP) is an interdisciplinary journal devoted to publishing theoretically oriented, empirical research that is at the intersection of psychology and media/mediated communication. Research topics include media uses, processes, and effects. MP found its audience and focus among scholars in both communication and psychology and has experienced a constant growth in impact over the years, achieving a 2.147 five-year impact factor, according to the 2016 Journals Citation Reports rankings by Thomson Reuters. MP aims to complement the understanding of how and why media are used, and misused, how they teach and how they affect and inspire people’s lives and minds.
