New research project "Privacy Transformations" [15.05.14]
The interdisciplinary project about privacy inside and outside online media was started with a meeting in Mainz.
How has the concept of privacy changed during the last decades, and what consequences does this have for the individual and society at large? A new research project, funded by the Volkswagenstiftung, will investigate these "privacy transformations".
The collaborative project started with a team meeting in Mainz that focussed on current issues of data protection. In future workshops and conferences, the project members will discuss basic questions about privacy and their implications from a political, legal, technical and communication perspective.
