Prof. Trepte will join the editorial board of the Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication [02.10.13]
The chair of the Department of Mediapsychology, Prof. Dr. Sabine Trepte, was invited to join the editorial board of the Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication (JCMC).
The journal publishes studies focusing on computer-mediated communication via the Internet and wireless technologies. With its interdisciplinary scope, the journal aggregates studies from various scholars in communication, media, business, education, political science, psychology and sociology. Since 2004, the JCMC is an official journal of the International Communication Association (ICA) and is published quarterly. Since 1995, all issues were published online and can be accessed via the website of the journal. The JCMC has an impact factor of 1.778 and is thus one of the most relevant journals in communication science. It is currently ranked on the 11th place of all 78 journals in communication science registered by the ISI (2012).
