Privacy 2.0 - Conference organized by the Hans-Böckler-Stiftung  [13.04.22]

From April 6 to April 8, the team Media Psychology visited a conference of doctoral students organized by the Hans Böckler Foundation. The topic of the scientific conference was " Privacy 2.0 - interdisciplinary views on privacy in the digital age".

 

Together with PhD students from Germany, Austria, France and Cameroon, interdisciplinary perspectives and problems on the topic of privacy were discussed over the course of three days. In addition to exciting keynotes, a colorful program was offered in and around the city of Dresden and the Technischen Sammlungen.

Each of the three research assistants of the Department of Media Psychology held a talk. Alexandra Lux presented on the topic of the Darknet and its role in a post-privacy society together with her colleague Robert Landwirth. Jana Wagner gave  insights into her study on privacy regulation on social media and Regine Frener talked about the topic of her dissertation in a presentation titled "Geschlecht und Privatheit" [Gender and Privacy].

A recent study entitled "Theorizing Gender in Online Privacy Research" from Regine Frener's presented dissertation project was also recently published in the latest issue of the Journal of Media Psychology (access it here).
